Using Infrastructure as Code to Deploy Azure Workload using Terraform and Bicep
Date published:
A few weeks ago, I was accepted to present for the Global Azure community event on Terraform and Bicep. I had been using Terraform for a while and wanted to learn Bicep while sharing it with everyone.
In this blog post, I will share my experience with my first in-person presentation and the topic I presented on. The session I presented was Using Infrastructure as Code to Deploy Azure Workload using Terraform and Bicep by my Co-Speaker, Mark Allan, in the Microsoft Reactor office in London.
What is Global Azure?
Global Azure is a community event that community members organise for the community. This event is a global event held in different time zones worldwide. The event is a great way to learn about Azure and network with community members.
Event Day
On the morning of the event, I had a quick run-through with my Co-Speaker, Mark Allan. We had a short run-through of the presentation and the demo to know which part we were presenting.
The event was a hybrid event that was live-streamed on YouTube. The event was a great way to meet other community members and learn about Azure.
Presentation
The session was a 30-minute presentation split into two parts. I presented the Terraform part, and Mark delivered the Bicep part.
Conslusion
This event was a great way to learn about Azure and network with other community members. I had the chance to meet speakers from the community in-person, which I found very cool, as I only had the opportunity to meet them virtually.
