Azure Administrator AZ-104
Date published:
Last year, in the winter, I passed my Azure Administrator AZ-104 exam if you have been following me on social media. If you are interested in this exam and want to find out more, I recommend the following resources, but you can do it in different order too.
What resources did I use?
-
CloudSkills.io - The cloud skills team has a fantastic course with Mike Pfeiffer. This course will be in-depth with everything you need to pass the exam. The material is amazing.
-
ACloudGuru - I have used ACloudGuru as my second resource as I found the content very good. It can be pretty lengthy. This course is another good resource as it provides more built-in labs you can spin up with a certain length of time to complete the task. It also offered some practice exams for you to take at the end of the course.
-
Microsoft Learn - I tend to use the Microsoft Learn resource as it gives you more steps by steps breakdown of each module. I would recommend using this as some of the labs as a built-in sandbox to provide you with some practical experience.
-
Github - This is another resource I tend to use for this exam as I found this section gives you all the Microsoft Learning for each lab. I would use all these labs, and the reading through the Microsoft Learn documentation.
How did I prepare?
As for all my Microsoft Exams, I usually go on Udemy and Wislabs for practice exams, do it all, and go through all the questions I did wrong. If I am unsure about any questions, I will look more into them.
How did I find the exam?
On the exam day, I think the exam was good as it gave you the overall structure of skills needed to become an Azure Administrator. I was pretty nervous at first, but I recommend getting ready before the start time at least 1 hour ahead of 2 hours, so it can give you some time to go through topics you were unsure about before the day.
Good Luck to anyone who will be sitting the exam.
